The video had the instrumental for MF DOOM's song "One Beer" playing, spliced with a viral video of Slender Man cooking hot dogs in the kitchen, originally made by YouTuber BUTCHY KID VIDEOS on November 24th, 2012. On April 24th, 2023, TikToker posted a video that had "This Is MF DOOM" in a top caption, taken from the Spotify playlist for the late rapper. The original iteration of the meme used a viral video about Slender Man "cooking hot dogs on the stove" and the instrumental for MF DOOM's song "One Beer." The meme became prevalent on YouTube and TikTok, among other video platforms, in mid-2023. The memes also exploited the Spotify playlist for MF DOOM's music called "This Is MF DOOM," placing the text above the chosen video that they'd inserted.
